As a former manor, the Dahlem domain looks back on over 800 years of history. Today you can experience the development of our food from the field to the plate, from the pasture to the shopping bag! Education for the general public is our core goal. As a prize winner of the federal government “Ideas for the Educational Republic”, the Dahlem domain is one of the nationwide lighthouse developments for innovative educational work.
All year round you can visit the organic farm with its "own" underground connection and farm shop, and you can also find our craftsmen to look over their shoulders at work.
In the manor house, the old residential building of Berlin from 1560, and in the restored horse stable you will find exciting exhibitions, including a historical grocery store, a historical butcher shop, a food laboratory from the imperial milen keserich
Over 300,000 guests are expected when we have our "green oasis" You can also book your own owners with us! The Dahlem domain is a meeting place for people of all ages who are looking for inspiration and search, and we have also given for your voluntary work.

Estate and museum represent the coherent food chain, from primary production to processing and marketing to consumption from the field to the plate. This means and interlocks the commercial demonstration and the living museum with their own mediation measures.
Everyday work is demanded in the estate. We show agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture and landscaping. A tradition of agricultural use that has been uninterrupted for 800 years was probably related not only in Berlin.
The museum demands, preserves, researches, opposes and controls cultural-historical topics from personal original production through processes and trade to the consumption and enjoyment of belongings. Berlin and its region are opening up developments throughout Germany are in focus.
