The Garni Rondinella on the banks of Lake Maggiore is only 2 minutes' walk away from the funicular and from the Piazza Grande. Wi-Fi is available free of charge.

Embark on romantic boat trips from the nearby harbour or take the funicular up to the beautiful Madonna del Sasso church. The train and bus stations are very close. By bus you can reach lovely places, like the Verzasca and Maggia valleys.
You cam also take the funicular up to the Madonna del Sasso church and then change to the cable car up to the Cardada.
In August you can join the international film festival on the Piazza Grande in Locarno.
Boats from the little harbour next to the hotel bring you to several famous destinations like the island of Brissago, to the islands of Borromeé with their botanic garden, to Ascona (jazz festival in June and July) or to Canobbio that every Sunday offers a typical Italian market.
