The International Museum of Contemporary Graphics of Chillán was born in 1997 with the donation of 80 works by the visual artist from Ñuble based in Germany, Hernando León until 2002, has a heritage of 200 works.
The Museum has held exhibitions by Latin American and European creators, within the so-called temporary exhibitions, we highlight the following: Dresden Engravers; Germany, Guillermo Nuñez; Roser Bru; Delia del Carril; Popular Engravers from the Northeast of Brazil. During all this time the Museum has developed a dissemination work in conjunction with other cultural and social institutions in the province of Ñuble.
Such as Municipal Schools and High Schools, Professional Institutes, Private Schools, Municipalities, Trade Unions, Cultural Centers and Universities. In this way, it has given free workshops, conferences and exhibitions on engraving, disseminating the cultural heritage it protects.
It is located in the Municipal Theater of Chillán, in calle 18 de Septiembre nº 590.
From Santiago, you must take Route 5 South.
