The Park am Gleisdreieck is this public green and recreational area in the west of Berlin-Kreuzberg on the border with Schöneberg and Tiergarten. The approximately 26 hectare park is located on the railway wasteland of the Anhalt and Potsdam freight depot at the Gleisdreieck.
The route of the north-south long-distance line of the green area in Ostpark and Westpark. The 17 hectare Ostpark was determined on September 2, 2011, the 9 hectare West Park on May 31, 2013. The real real Park, with committed public participation, is characterized by wide lawns with isolated groups of trees, a grove, long wooden benches, sports and play areas, various and barrier-free allotment garden colony POG, as well as historical relics from the railway era of the site. Some unseen and “track wilderness” are a specialty, in order to pull themselves out to the old track systems, signal remnants, track pits and pools of water and have their own biotope image.
The on March 21, 2014 is owned as a bottleneck park and belongs to the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district.
The park, which extends from north to south, extends from the Tempelhofer Ufer of the Landwehr Canal to Yorckstrasse. The eastern boundary must be Möckernstrasse. To the west, the Flottwell- / Dennewitz- / Bülowstraße affects the western part. In the north, between the parts of the park, is the building of the German Museum of Technology and the museum park with the Bohnsdorf post mill and the Foline mill. That means the railway area and the park are now easy - just under three meters above street level. [2] The city park close to the center has around 30,000 vulnerable residents.
