Built originally as a presidential retreat in the 1970s, the historic Sanctuary Chichele Presidential Lodge offers accommodation in South Luangwa National Park.
The Victorian-styled suites at the lodge are elegantly furnished and boast large French windows opening up onto a private terrace overlooking the valley. Each suite is equipped with a four-poster bed, plush furnishings and a luxurious bathroom.
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are included and served at the lodge or outdoors. The property also offers special diet menus.
The lodge has a colonial-style lounge, a fireplace, bar and a spacious veranda with views down the valley to the Luangwa River.
Activities offered include game drives and walking safaris. A free airport transfer is provided. The nearest airport is Mfuwe, a 2-hours drive from the lodge.
